I've been "Tagged" - by Jennifer, what does that mean? I asked! Well, I am not sure but I was told that I am to List 7 things about myself. Then I am to "tag" 7 other blogging friends. So I guess I am going to start now:

  • I married a "French"man - he is my best friend, lover, provider, and the father of our three beautiful daughters. The Lord has blessed us with 38 years of marriage as of September 6, 2007.

  • I am a Mother of three beautiful women today, Sarah, Ruth, and Rebecca, and I love having them all at home at the same time, as a family. I so enjoy their company, and spending time with them. We go shopping, and take the boys, our grandsons, Ruth's boys, to the park maybe for a picnic or just to play awhile. There is nothing more that I would rather have then all my girls live close enough so that we could drop in on them once in awhile or them drop in on us. Family is so important to me.

  • I have 3 beautiful grandsons - Ethan 6, Evan 5, and Easton 2. I miss seeing them. They live in Florida, and we are in Michigan. I love spending time with them, by going to the parks, going and getting frosty's, and playing games with them and coloring or having some kind of art project that we can work on. Jesus please bless and keep them.

  • I like to fish- yep that's right, I like to put those dirty ole worms on the hook and reel the line out. When I was growing up my stepfather would take us all camping and we would fish all day. Or he would just take us fishing for the day, one day as we were fishing, I thought I had something on my line but it wouldn't reel in, so we thought it was caught on something. So my dad took the pole and tried to reel it in. He said "well I guess it is caught on something", then all of a sudden it wanted to go it's own way, so then dad kept reeling it in, and then finally he got it in. There were two big catfish on my line, for the line was double hooked. Another time he took me out early in the morning and we took the boat out on the river. We had been fishing for quite awhile and every once in awhile fish would jump up out of the water. Then all of a sudden right near the boat there was a fish that tried to jump up out of the water, but it was so big it couldn't. All I could see was the head and to me at that time it looked huge, all the time we were in that boat from that time on that day, I was afraid that, that fish was going to get under our boat and tip us over, cause that is how big that fish looked to me. Some "fishy" stories huh? They are true! Really!

  • I was in Haiti in 1999 - I had gone with a group from God's Bible School. I believe that there were 22 of us that had gone. One of our daughters, Ruth and Rodney who now is her husband, were also among the group. It was nice to have family with us. We caravaned down and stopped at Hobe Sound Bible College and spent the night, then went on to Miami Airport, and flew out of Miami. We were there for 10 days. I with the help of several GBS Students held Bible School of 300 plus children. It was such a joy to work with those boys and girls and share the Gospel of Jesus with them. They also had a computer class while we were there. Some of the of the GBS Students preached while we were there. Rodney one night had preached while I did a chalk drawing. When there was time we would sit around the compound and I would draw pictures and give them to the boys and girls. They just loved those pictures. ( I was told that they probably took them home and their mother or father would take them and sell them so they could get money to get drugs and things like that).

  • My "Dream" is to go to Hawaii one day!

  • I enjoy doing Arts and Crafts - I have done chalk drawings in churches.( Back before my Grandmother had past away I told her that I would keep it going by doing the chalk drawing. For she did chalk drawings, and I wanted it to continue. I love my Grandma Tawney so much, she was a real spiritual help to me. I Miss You Grandma, she has been gone 32 years now. She would have been 94 the 1st of September). I love planning party themes, and then decorating with the theme. I enjoy decorating the church for the Holidays, or my home. I enjoy planning Bible Schools, the lessons the story planning and craft part of it. There again working with a theme. It is such a joy to use what God has given me. Then there is sewing, I made a lot of my girls clothes when they were growing up. I have made some quilts mainly baby ones for gifts. I have made curtains, dolls and their clothing. Stuffed animals, such as ducks, bears, a hobbyhorse (for those that might not know what they are, it is a horses head on a stick, or pole). The last few years I have made lots of costumes for my grandsons, plus lots of pajamas for Christmas eve. I have done some paintings, on wood, canvas or paper. I am working on an oil painting right now. It is called "The Blood Jesus Shed for Me". I have never worked with oil before, so it has been a little bit of a challenge.

I guess that is the length of my list. So now I am going to tag Becky, Holly, Misty, Tina, Lenita, Margaret, and Dorcus. Girls consider yourself tagged.

"This is the day that the Lord has made,
Let us rejoice and be glad in it."
This first picture I took as we were getting into our car,
as we were leaving for church this morning.
Looking out the back of our place.

This was taken as you would enter our Apartment Complex.

I had offered to decorate our church,

Pilgrim Nazarene Church,

on Bristol Ave. in Grand Rapids, MI.

This is an arrangement that I had made,

and decided to use it.

This is our Guest Book Table.

"A Storm"
(This picture was taken by our daughter, Rebecca,
she caught it on her way home from work one day on her cell phone)
Storms are always about us, we can't weave around them,
we can't go over them. We have to go through them.

I Need Something to make me
"Happy" right now.
So I went to my pictures and pulled these up.
I made these Sailor outfits a couple of years ago for Easter.
I needed to pull them up. To help me not to be so sad for today
I had such a big let down. Today we were to Remember 9/11.

I was out and about for a little while this afternoon.
While I was out I was so ashamed. I hardly seen any
red, white, and blue. Why is that? There was nothing,
I mean nothing like a few days after 9/11.
We need to let our Troops know that they are doing what is right.
Keeping us secure is what they have been doing since 9/11. I pray
that things will turn around. All you see is what the media wants you to see. Yet where is our spirit? I am Remembering 9/11 today.
Even now if I am just getting a lift from sharing my grandson's pictures again.
Thank you for stopping by and seeing my rambleling.

Remembering 9/11

Let Us Pray For The Families!
As we remember, do you have your flag up today?

Ruth took me to the Airport,
Wednesday, September 5, 2007.
After we arrived, we checked in my bags,
I already had my boarding pass.
I printed that out the day before at Ruth's.
It is so much easier that way.
After taking the plane a few times the last couple of years,
I found it is a lot easier that way.
After we checked my bags in Ruth then bought me lunch.
We then strolled through the airport,
we stopped at this gift shop.
Was able to get a couple of pictures.

When I went to go to my boarding area,

Ruth asked Easton to give me this bag below.

It was so cute she had given it to him when we got out

of the car and he carried it like it was his own traveling

bag.

When she asked him to give it to me he wasn't wanting to

give it up.

Ruth said there are goodies in it for Grandma,

so he tried to open it and he couldn't,

so he asked me too.

Then Mommy said lets go Easton Grandma needs to get on

her plane.

That was the last I seen of him.

(I need to be careful here for tears are starting to fall.)

It almost matches my bedset.

I have to tell a story here:
I was with Ruth today when she picked the boys
up from school. They had a doctors appointment.
So we went right to the appointment. After which on our
way back to the house Ruth had mention, she was wondering
what she was going to do for supper.
Well, the boys
heard her and of course they decided to call out some
resturants. Ruth had commented that beings it is Grandma's last
night, maybe she has a place she would like to go. Well,
something was mentioned of Chili's. I said that, that sounds good.
But it was the opposit direction then what we were. She said that didn't
matter. So she headed to Jupiter, where the only Chili's is that we knew of.
The neat thing about it is that I was in so hopes to go to Jupiter one more time
before I left. So here it happened. I really like Jupiter. It is a really neat town I think. This is where I took the picture of the Light House.

Labor Day! September 3, 2007
We went to a friend of Ruth's,
Gale Wheatcraft for Labor Day!
As you can see the boys were really enjoying it.

Gales daughter Trisha shared her pool with the boys.

Evan found a scooter to play with.

Ethan did too!
Evan decided to do the crab walk,
you had to watch it, because the crab might pinch you.

The children did play inside some, by watching videos
and playing. While they were watching the videos I went
in the room to check on the boys and I found Easton...

Another time I checked on the boys and I found this.
Evan trying on a hat!
Then Ethan, you can find him with a book a lot of the time.

My Last Saturday with the boys!
As my time is winding down here in Florida,
Saturday, September 1, 2007 we were out and about,
at the end of the day we stopped at Jensan Beach Park.
We were able to catch a few pictures.
Here is Easton enjoying a ride on a whale.

Then Evan enjoying the elephant.
I was able to catch a picture with Easton, yeah!
Ethan and Evan enjoying the sun and sand.
Grandma with the three boys, Ethan, Evan and Easton.

(This picture is suppose to be posted below on the last blogging, at the end of the school day.)
On the way home from picking up everyone from work,
and the boys from school and we got daddy too! It was
mentioned what we should have for supper. Ethan said
"I think Grandma should pick, since it is her last Friday with us".
So then he said" I know her favorite is Kentucky Fried Chicken,
so KFC is what it was.
Oh it is sooooooo good!
After which we watched a video before bedtime.
Wonderful Memories,
I had better be careful here,
tears are starting to fall.
Thank You, boys, Ruth and Rodney for the beautiful last Friday,
with you.
Grandma Loves You, Ethan, Evan, and Easton
Mommy and Daddy too!

Such a Busy Day!
Friday, August 31, 2007
Friday, I was up with everyone else.
Dropped off the boys at school, dropped Ruth and Easton
off at the Child Care Center.
They were all to be at their places at 8:00.
I was to meet the boys at their Chapel Service at 10:00.
So I decided to go to the beach and relax a little and
take in the views. So I took some pictures while I was there.

The views were beautiful.
