Memorial Sunday" Thank You"! 2007

I do want to say "Thank You" to those of you that have served or are serving our Country, a "BIG THANK YOU"!

Our Sunday morning service was a beautiful service. We of course sang our patriotic songs. We had a beautiful poem read by our soldier of the cross, Sister Morgen - "Memory".

Our Pastor, Brother James Durr, read a few quotes from General Douglous Mac Arthur.

They reconnized our Veterans by having them come forward, having everyone come forward and shake thier hands to "Thank Them" for serving. "Thank You" to those of you have served. May God Bless each one who has served.

We had a special number in song, by Brent and Janice Metz.

Our Pastor, Brother Durr, Before his message, read the scripture:

11 Timothy 4:1-11, he brought out verse 7,

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith".

Beautiful message, Brother Durr. Thank You!

I was able to help with the service, by decorating. And also doing a bulletin board. The poem on the board goes like this:

In Memory

One gift, above all others,

God gives to us to treasure.

One that knows no time, no peace,

and gold cannot measure.

The precious, poignant tender gift,

Of memory, that will keep

Our dear ones ever in our hearts.

Although God gives them sleep,

It brings back long remembered,

a song, a word, a smile.

And the world's a better place because

We had them for awhile.
