Who's going to church?

Ruth had a bulletin board to do at the church for the Children's Church room.
So we went and as we were getting set up to work.
All of a sudden Ruth said you guys have to come here.
Went back outside and here they were, I don't know how many crabs crawling around.
Then Evan went to use the restroom,
he came back screaming come here hurry.
We went out in the hall, there was a crab crawling around inside.
I then went to the office to see if someone could come and get it and take it outside.
While I was up front by the office the secretary and I were looking out the front door,
there were I don't know how many of them crawling around.
You see, the last couple of days we have had very badly needed rain.
Then during the night Thursday night, it really rain.
Friday when Ruth went in to work she said there was flooding all over.
Those of you that know this area, Highway 1 was so badly flooded that the police had
to direct vehicals, so many were stranded in the floods.
So the rains had washed the crabs to shore, and they are trying to find their way back to the ocean.

The crab below, the secretary called it a bluecrab, she said those are the ones that they eat.
Would you want to eat one of these?
Actually the picture below is the bluecrab, but there is another one behind him.

Art Class - June 28,2007

Art Class!
We have art class every Thursday.
Ruth brings Evan home with her on her lunch break.
So that Ethan and Evan both can have the class together.
Our Topic for the day was
Eternity - Jesus, the Good Shepherd
The first thing they did was fold their paper into four sections.
Then number each section, 1-4.
Each Section they had to draw what I asked them too.
1 - Draw a straight line
2 - Draw a circle
3 - Draw a Triangle
4 - Draw Square
Can you see what they were to draw?

(Evan's picture)

Now go back and look at the pictures,

1- The Line represents Eternity - I talked to them how Life is for eternity.

2- The Circle represents Creation- and how God made the Earth and everything on it, and His Son Jesus was born for the world so that He would die and then He rose again to save us from our sins.

Like it says in John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,

That whosoever beleiveth in Him, should not perish

But have everlasting Life."

(Ethan's picture below)

3- The Triangle represents the Trinity,

Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I shared with them what the Trinity means.

4- The Square- after adding more squares for windows, rectangle for door, a couple of triangles, and a circle we have our Church, God's House

Where those who love Jesus go to His house to worship Him and to Praise Him

To show Him how much they love Him.

As you see in the pictures below, we have sheep.

The boys traced these pictures.

As I had a picture of a sheep taped on the window,

I took a piece of typing paper and taped it over the sheep.

I then asked them if they could see the sheep through the paper.

Of course they said yes,

I told them that, that is like Jesus looking down on us,

caring for us as His Sheep.

For He is the Good Shepherd.

(They traced the sheep as I told them how)

If they have Jesus in their hearts,

they will Live in eternity with Him forever,

And he will care for us as the Shepherd cares for his sheepl

Evans picture Above, Ethan's below.

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, they were holding them as I took the pictures,

and they don't press real hard on the pencils, because that is so they can correct a mistake if they have too.

I so enjoy doing these things with the boys. To hear their responds and see their smiles makes my heart sing.

I Praise the Lord that I have this opportunity to do this at this time!

"Pirates Week"

Here are the 3 Pirates from this place, notice Easton's little whiskers.
Evan didn't want nothing to do with the whiskers.
Evans class made things, one of them an eye patch, and they played games.

Easton's class, which is Ruth's group made patches for their eye,

they had a treasure hunt in the sand and found all kinds of goodies.

Coins are one of them, See! Easton says.

Then when the 3 came home,

guess who had to get into the action, Ethan of course.

They had a good day today!

I am glad they had fun today.

This is one of the Joys that the Lord has given me.

My children, then my little grandsons.

They are such a blessing to me with their little smiles.

They are what I am here in Florida for.

God is so good to us.

There is no way that I want to let Him, the Lord, down.

He has given us so much, even in the mist of the storms.

I Praise Him! I Praise Him! I Praise Him!

Praise the Lord!

The Storm is Coming!

We tried to view the shuttle lifting off,
but the clouds were to many.

Even when it looks stormy,

we can still enjoy the storms,

by keeping our lives in Jesus.

Just like with us today we went to the

beach to enjoy the ocean.

We were able to enjoy the waves,

even though it was cloudy.

We had a good time.

So Grandpa is finding the happiness in

enjoying his grandsons before he leaves Sunday.

So remember when the storms come there is
that time of happiness,
thinking of what you could do to make it a brighter day!
God Be With Each Of You!

Fun Days with the Hawaii Theme!

We waited for Evan and Easton to come home
with Mommy,
on her lunch break.
Grandpa and Grandma made plans to take the
boys out on an outing.

Ethan is home now for the summer,

Grandma has come to stay with him through the summer

while Mommy works.

Grandpa came for Ethan's graduation

and has to go home Sunday.

We are going to miss him when he leaves.

Especially Grandma!

Easton is trying so hard to let me take his picture,

but the sun is making such an haze in the clouds,

Did I say clouds?

It was really gray and gloomy,

but we enjoyed our time with the boys.

Believe it or not Grandma and the boys did stand down

by the water

so that the waves would get our feet,

sorry no pictures.

(If you look at some of the old blogs you can see us

standing down by the water).

But here we got to see the beautiful billowy clouds,

it sure was neat to see them.

Just remembering that even though we go through the storms

we can still have sunlight in our soul.

Thank You Jesus for that Light!

Hawaii Days! June 8, 2007

Hawaii Days!
We so enjoyed the day with our grandsons,
Easton, Evan, and Ethan

Grandpa and the boys are sitting waiting to go pick up Mommy at work.

Don't they look excited taking time to enjoy the day.

It is great having grandpa here with us,

we are going to miss him when he goes home

Sunday.

Well, I tried getting them to look all together!

Ethan Promoted to 1st Grade Sunday School Class!

Ethan was promoted to the next class in Sunday School.
He was promoted to 1st. grade,
at the Hobe Sound Bible Church,
Hobe Sound, Florida

Just Relaxing by the Beach!

After all the hard moving that was done today,
Ruth decided to take us out for supper.
We went to the "Outback", very good supper.
We enjoyed it so much,
Thank You, Ruth!
After supper she took down to the beach,
And this is what we saw.

Ruth came down and snatched my camera from me,
this is what she took and saw.
I so enjoy being by the water.
It is so relaxing!

But then I got my camera back,

this is what I caught

on film, too!

Isn't this the most precious thing you ever saw?

They loved those waves coming up to them.

And a few did.
