Leaving Michigan!
Yes, we left Michigan on Friday the 25th of January. Before we did we
met some of our dearest friends, Don and Roxanne Hamblin.
We met for breakfast at Ihops on Alpine.

Here we are, Eileen and Jim Gerard. When left Don and Roxanne,
we then went to pick Rebecca up on her last of working.
We went back to our place in Michigan, to finish our things there.
Handed in our keys and everything that went along with it.
We had loaded up our truck Thursday so that we could leave so after
Becky got done working. After our handing in the keys we were on our way
to pick up Sarah and her roommate Lori. They were helping with driving and
unloading when we arrive in Florida.
We had a very good trip. We had a good weather, one area we had some snow flurries, but didn't stick to the ground. This was in Kentucky. When we were almost into Atlanta we got stuck in a traffic tie up, because of construction. Saturday and Sunday were good days to travel as far as traffic. Then we got into Atlanta, the car we were taking which was leading, took the wrong fork in the road and the truck took the right fork in the road. The car called on the walkie talkie, told the truck to keep going we would catch up. So we caught up and had no more incidences. Praise the Lord for His guidance.

This picture was taken at one of the stops we made for one of our

meals. This is Sarah and Lori, Sarah's roommate.

This is Jim, myself and Becky.

After we arrived Sunday afternoon, 2:00PM.

We rested at Ruth's and spent the night after we parked

our truck at the back of the church,

I took everyone and showed our place. Then we spent the night

then went to get the apartment ready to unload. We had to unload at

our place, then at Ruth's for Becky moved in with Ruth.

Then we had to find a storage unit, which we found Tuesday morning. Unloaded

turned in the truck and then now we have all the unpacking to do.

Monday while we were unloading I had to run to Evan's class at school.

They were to have a snowball fight. So I had taken some pictures.

Here he is getting ready for the snowball through.

Some other winter things in the class room.

Now we are taking Sarah and Lori to the airport Thursday,

so they can fly back to Michigan. I feel so bad for them

I hear we left just at the right time. They had a blizzard so sorry you guys.

We enjoyed 80 degrees today.

Well, may the Lord be with each of you.

You will all be in our Prayers,

Have a Bless Day!

More Good Byes!
After church last night they had a
"Good Bye" gathering for us.
The picture below is the cake which read
"We"ll Miss You"

They invited my parents,
My Mother, Joyce Beverly Weatherwax,

Eugene Weatherwax, my father.

The Church gave us a gift, and a card which we
are reading in this picture. (I had asked the pastors
oldest daughter, Britteny if she would take the pictures of us
opening our gift. She did a great job. Thank you Britteny).

I was all smiles,

the bow on the gift had

snowmen on it.

The gift is a beautiful music box.

The song it plays is

"Great Is Thy Faithfulness"

there are pictures below.

As we opened up the music box there were little

notes from the people who attended church Sunday

morning. Saying "We will miss you because...

they filled out their reasons.

Here we are reading the notes.
"Our Music Box"
Isn't it beautiful?

As we opened it up the notes lay inside.

Our card from the church.

(The picture reminds me of

"Bridge Road" going to the Ocean, in Hobe Sound, Florida!)

We want to Thank all the people at

Bristolwood Pilgrim Nazarene Church,

Grand Rapids, Michigan.

"Thank You" so much for all your prayers,

and the kind words and the beautiful gift.

Our Prayers and thoughts will be with you all.

"Thank You"

Jim & Eileen Gerard

Saying Our Good Byes!
We went to Perkins tonight, to say our good byes to Jim's Sister, Mary Lou and her husband, Lee Stickney pictured below.
And his Brother, Ron and his wife
Lois Gerard

We had a very good time and visit. We live so many miles among us we don't get to see each other like we would have like too. But we wanted to be sure to see each other before we left.

The picture below is the three of them. They had a sister, Donna Didaskalou who went to be with Jesus several years earlier.

Left to right Jim, Lou, and Ron. Thank you Ron and Lois, Lou and Lee for a wonderful evening.

We pray that God will keep you in His care. Ron "Thank You" for the supper. It was greatly appreciated.

May the Lord Bless You!
