It's Bible School Again!
Yes, Bible School was tonight and it was a great turn out.
I might say we did some calling Sunday afternoon for Bible School and we got a few calls in, but we got rained out.

So tonight we had 209 children for the first night. 105 boys and 104 girls. How was that for a first night? Some I know are sitting back and saying whoaaaaa! Yes, 209, I worked with the registering and it was great seeing all the children coming in.

Their Theme for this year is :
"GO FOR THE GOLD"

Tonight we had Gideon the Torchbearer visit as the first Athlete for the week.
The Verse today is :
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, 2 Chronicles 16;9a. They will be learning the second half tomorrow night.

Those sitting with the children had medals that they would hang around someone if they were being quiet and sitting still. Guess what two of the three boys, were wearing one. Can you guess which ones? Ethan and Evan were you right? I was so proud of them. Way to go Ethan and Evan on the first night. They will have to learn their verses now for the week.

They decorated very nicely. All having to do with the Olympics. The five rings as well as having the stand where the first, second and third medals will be standing. It is very nice looking. I was so amazed at the job they did. Great job to who ever gets the credit for the decorating. I really love the "theme" it is so fitting for this summer.

Well, I might add I went in to do Volunteer work stuffing envalopes, we did three different mailings. We were done before 11:30 this morning starting at 9:00. We did some the other day and the first thing we did with that mailing is stamp them. So you get to see where they are going. They were going around the world, but would you know that as I stamping a pile I happened to look and there was someone I know from Greenville, Michigan. Then I realized that I was doing a pile for Michigan, and as I was going, low and behold there was my Mother and Father's name. I didn't think quick enough I would have liked to write a note in it. Well, I had to call my Mom and tell her when she gets that mail that I put the stamp on. Just something that ment something to me, maybe it doesn't or wouldn't mean anything to anyone else.
