Spring Break for the Boys-Ruth decided to take the boys on a road trip for their Spring Break-
Everything ready guys? Then Ruth says, "what was I thinking?"

Are you all ready? It sure looks like it. Have a great time you guys!
The night before they leave it was decided that "Papa" went too! Are you ready "Papa"? Here we go. They traveled about 10 hours, to one of Ruth's friends that she met in Hobe Sound Bible College, Kerri Weatherald.

Kerries oldest daughter and Ruth's middle son, took a liken to each other, this is Megan with Evan.

Then here is Easton and Kerrie's youngest daughter,
They spent a couple of days there, this was taken the Sunday they were there.
The boys with two of their new freinds.
Sunday morning! With "Papa".
They left and made their way to Dover, Delaware. On their travel there, they had to travel the Chesapeake Channel Tunnel. That is where part of the trip going over the water you went down under.
Evan is really taking this all in.
Heading for the first tunnel!

Here they go in the first tunnel I guess there were at least two times they had to go in the tunnels. They probably traveled about 10 hours that Monday. Arrived in Dover, Delaware. Where Ruth again had a friend that she wanted to stop and see while on the road trip. Her name is Kristy. While they were there in Dover, they went to a park that the boys played at when they lived there. Easton was born in Dover. They also took a tour of the Air Force Museum here are just a few pictures that Ruth took.

The whole road trip was to go to see the Statue of Liberty. Tuesday they made their way!

Ruth and her dad Jim, standing under the statue.
My husband, Jim. He so enjoyed the trip. I am so glad that he was able to go.
Easton, Eathen and Evan setting at the foot of the Statue.
I believe this is at the base of the Statue, looking toward New York.
They then drove to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There they spent a couple of days.
There was lot's to do.
They stayed in a motel called the "Red Caboose", I believe this car was their room
for the next two days.

This is a line of the cabooses that are rooms. There was a gentlman that bid for 14 old cabooses, in a auction, he ended up getting them, didn't know what he was going to do with them. Then he had an idea. Here you see his idea. Motel rooms. Looks like a lot of fun.

Here is "Papa" with Ethan and Evan and then Easton to the right.

Just to give you an idea what the boys had to eat in the "Red Caboose Resturant"
They got to make their own peauntbutter and jelly sandwiches. With rainbow bread.
As you can see they also had fruit too!
They sure enjoyed making their own sandwiches. Here is Easton! The youngest.

"Papa" wasn't feeling good this morning, so Mommy took the boys to get a train ride.
Well, here is our little model.

Here is Mommy, (Ruth) with the boys on the train.
While they were in Lancaster, they were in the Amish country.

Here is some farming land.
Here are the boys in front of an Amish buggy.
They got to ride in a buggy, this is Easton looking on.

Here is Ethan!
"Papa" enjoying the ride too!

Guess who got to hold the reins? Evan!
This play area was outside the Motel yards.
Can you guess who is behind the glasses? Some kind of spy maybe?
Hi Evan you look good in the glasses.
After a couple of days in Lancaster, they went back to Dover, to spend the day with Kristi and her family.
They stayed at a motel, and then left first thing Saturday morning. Traveling several hours, they stopped at a motel.

I believe coming back over the Chesapeake Channel.

On their trip they had to have some kind of fun. Can you see who this is? You said "Donald Duck?"

Or Wallie the Walrus did you say? After traveling several hours they finally made it
back home, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Here they had to show grandma some of the things they got.
I was so glad that the boys were so happy with their trip.
Grandma at first was so concerned of Mommy taking them and her alone. So when it came up for Jim to go, I was so glad that he was able to go. When Ethan found out that "Papa" was going he was so excited.
The boys were so excited what they brought home.
I do want to say that Jim brought me home a beautiful crystle block home for me. It had the statue of liberty scketched in the middle of the crystle. I have one with a light house that when you put it on a base that lights up it will turn different colors. So I have it setting on top of that, so that when I turn it on the statue of liberty lights up too. It is so beautiful. Thank you so much hon, I love it.
