I am so sorry my blog has given me fits tonight. I finally decided to go ahead and post it. You get the idea, and you can see the pictures. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

~~~~~~~~ Christmas Eve ~~~~~~~~
Christmas Eve Day, the boys had a busy day.
One of the things they did was make a gingerbread house,
it came in a kit, they did make their own gingerbread cookies and gave
to their neighbors. This is Easton working on one of his projects.
Evan putting his touches on the gingerbread house.
It was a real team effort, with Ethan.
The whole team the "3 E's"
Job well done boys, grandma loves it.
Isn't this a beautiful picture of the great team?
On Christmas Eve the boys leave cookies and a drink out for
you know who!
Before they went to bed, they got to open a gift from Mommy,
it was the PJ's they have on, plus the stuffed animals they are holding,
along with a book.
Isn't this adorable? Looking up at the star on top of the tree.
Just before they went into Dream Land.
Every Christmas morning when the girls were growing up their
Grandpa and Grandma Weatherwax would come on Christmas morning and watch them
open their gifts. We then would have brunch or breakfast what ever you
want to call it. All kinds of goodies. As you will see in two pictures down. Just a
few of the things we served as a tradition.
The boys are still sleeping zzzzzzz looking at the stockings they were so heavy
they couldn't be hung back up.
Again just a few of the things we would serve on Christmas morning,
Ruth fixed our traditional Salmon soup. The tradition started out with
Oyster Soup with my Grandmother Tawney, I don't know if it was before
that or not. It would be nice to know. But so many of us didn't care for the
oysters, so my Mom started the salmon soup which is good, though I am not
a real fish eater I do eat the salmon soup. Of course I made it for my girls too.
Our grandsons just love it. By the way Ruth it was very good, thank you. One of the things we did is read the Christmas Story from the Bible, Luke 2 before opening the tree.
It was no different with the boys. Ruth read them the story.
Here they are opening their stockings.
Aunt Sarah got Ethan and Evan the Series of Narnia in DVD.
The boys also recieved a couple of outfits from Aunt Sarah. Easton showing off one of his.
Evan with one of his isn't he sharp looking?
Ethan is growing up so fast, isn't he cool looking?
One more look boys before we go to Grandpa and Grandmas house for Christmas lunch.
When Grandpa and Grandma Weatherwax would come and watch the girls open the gifts as was mentioned earlier we would eat after the children opened their gifts, then grandpa and grandma would go home and get lunch ready and my brother and sister and their families would be there when they were little. As they got older it was harder to get together with them, but maybe at times they might stop by.
Ruth thought it would be nice to keep that tradition, as we did going to watch the boys open their tree and had ate with them. We then went home a got lunch ready. She wanted pretty much what they had when they were growing up. Ham sandwiches, bakebeans, greenstuff we would call it something that my Mom would make with cottage cheese, crushed pineapple drained, one box of dry lime jello, stir it all together with a large container of coolwhip. Mom would a lot of times have all kinds of baking done, cookies candies you name it she made it. Well, about all the farther I got in any of that is the greensturr, and finger jello, which is another that we make for Christmas Day!
Do you know that song? " Over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go"Well, it goes like this here "Down the street and around the corner to grandmothers house go"
Here is grandmas tree.
We got a picture of the four of them before we had our lunch. Don't know what the boys would look like when they got done eating.
As you can see PaPa was Santa, this wasn't the first gift he passed out, but I need to share it with you, he opened this gift he is holding, it was a shoe box, inside the box was a ticket for the Orange Bowl Game New Years Day, that he got he was so shocked he just stood there and looked at it. So he has that to look forward too yet, he is excited.
Easton giving mommy a Christmas Kiss!
Ethan with his gift from Grandpa and Grandma.
Grandpa found another gift he could open for himself, a Bible Cover,
Evan playing with his gift from Grandpa and grandma.
Well, Grandma's day isn't over yet. We have one more stop to make.
Aunt Becky had to work Christmas Day. So when she got out of work we all met back at Ruth's for Christmas dinner and all the trimmings that goes with it. It was very good thank you Ruth, you did a great job.
Then Aunt Becky had us all over to her little abode in the evening
..
Her tree with her gifts around it. Doesn't it look pretty? A closer look at the gifts.
Her tree, isn't it pretty?
Close up of the gifts.
Becky got the two older boys new lunch boxes for school, she used
them for their stockings from her. Neat idea Becky. Here they are looking to
see what they got.
Here is Easton going through his little bag.
Sarah and Becky went together and got each of the boys a big gift.
Here is Evan with his gift from Aunt Becky and Aunt Sarah.
Here is Ethan's, he isn't excited or anything or is he? Becky had saved this gift till the very
last. She had it wrapped in a bike bag stuck in her shower, if you could see the size of her place you would understand why. So they went on as though they were all done with the gift. She asked the boys if the gifts were all done Ethan said yes. Then she said did you get a big gift and he said yes, I can't remember what it was but it was something small, she then said how about you close your eyes and don't open until we tell you too. You had to be there it was great.
Aunt Becky with one of the gifts we gave her.
Me with a couple of the things that I recieved, one a potholder that Becky use for like a stocking for me. You had neat ideas Becky.
Jim with one of his gifts he got from Becky.
He was really needing a new one.
Merry Christmas
and
New Year.
